Getting pumped up

In about 12 days we are leaving for Ireland and Waterville Golf Links. Jone and I will fly over in the morning to pick up our rental car and have a look at Dublin before Marc’s flight arrives. We then travel to play Portmarnock (Old) which jumped up to 25 in the world in Golf Digest’s latest rankings before driving down to Waterville.

I have never been to Ireland before and I’m looking forward to it. Waterville is located in the southwest of Ireland and is known, besides from golf, for its great fishing of Salmon and Sea-Trout. I hope to borrow a fly fishing rod and see if the fish are biting.

I’m counting on cold winds from the Atlantic so I’ve purchased some new clothing to stay warm and dry. I’ve also purchased a new Hasselblad camera and hope to take some great images.

A friend of mine, who has played every golf course worth playing on earth, said Waterville is his favorite.
