Located at the end of Waterville village is Waterville House, a stunning 18th century, 12 bedroom manor house. We were unable to stay there on this occasion, but we visited with Miriam the House Manager for a guided tour.

Put simply, Waterville House is a golfer’s home away from home. It has everything needed for the serious golfer or those wanting a more private stay. It is equipped with its very own driving range, par 3 hole, chipping and putting green ensuring that you can practice non-stop until you are ready to tackle the links. Guests even get preferred tee times.

Each of the rooms are named after golf course architects with many offering incredible views of the bay and township. Even the gym looks out across the water and if that is not enough, you can fish less than 20 metres from the house.  Without a doubt, on our return visit to we are going to check straight in to Waterville House. Our photographer loves fishing and we need the extra practice.
